About Trey

Trey was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina. After graduating from Hickory High School, he went on to earn his degree from North Carolina State University in 2011. Trey began his career at Penn National Insurance Company, where he worked as a Commercial Underwriter for two years before returning to his hometown in 2013. As the fourth generation to join Broome Insurance, Trey has established himself as a trusted business insurance consultant, leveraging his expertise to provide valuable insights and solutions to his clients.

A passionate advocate for continuous learning, Trey holds the prestigious designation of Master Workers Compensation Advisor. He is dedicated to driving results that bring measurable value to his clients’ bottom line, focusing on providing tailored, effective risk management solutions.

Outside of his professional life, Trey enjoys spending time on the golf course or out on the water—whether it’s floating down a river, relaxing on the lake, or enjoying the beach. A competitive amateur golfer, Trey now competes in the mid-am circuit. He is also an avid fly fisherman and enjoys immersing himself in nature. Trey married his soulmate, Chelsea, in 2023, and together they share their home with their two dog children, Lucy and Finley.
